Commercial Sales Representative
Are you ready to increase your income quickly and have a fulfilling career that makes a difference in the environment and the lives of others?
We are now hiring Commercial Sales Representatives to be part of the growing LED lighting industry.
In this sales and market-building position, you will be an important member of our high-performing sales team.
Fist, you’ll develop a deep understanding of customer requirements.
Then, you’ll provide account-level leadership to identify and qualify prospects, create and present winning proposals and execute sales excellence.
Your focus will be on developing and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing commercial clients.
Our team will rely on you to:
- Participate in one-on-one, phone and in-person sales meetings and marketing activities (such as industry trade shows, seminars, webinars, etc.);
- Conduct extensive research to understand potential clients’ goals, objectives and challenges – fully understanding our distinctive difference in the marketplace;
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies;
- Demonstrate and sell LED lighting solutions to grow new commercial accounts of all sizes;
- Drive revenue in our existing customer base;
- Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and positive, proactive relationships with channel partners and dealers/contractors… ensuring open streams of communication;
- Coordinate a full sales cycle from initial prospecting to signed contracts through ongoing account management;
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts through proper reporting in the company’s
agency system; - Offer your input to continually improve tools and the overall sales process;
- Investigate competitor products, promotions and strategies and maintain this competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies accordingly; and
- Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading trade journals, maintaining personal networks and participating in industry organizations
Skills and Education Needed
To fulfill these requirements, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- LED lighting, lighting retrofit projects or lighting sales experience (preferred but not necessary);
- Strong prospecting skills;
- Experience selling performance contracts and/or large retrofit projects;
- Commercial sales/account management experience;
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred);
- Minimum of 2 years directly handling complex sales cycles with mid-large accounts;
- Proven and verifiable, successful track record in sales in a fast paced, results oriented culture;
- Comfortable calling on executives, owners and line employees for both business and technical functions (such as C-level executives, financial managers, property managers, and energy/facilities managers);
- Experience with, and understanding of, CRM systems;
- An understanding of various rebate programs offered in your area;
- Outstanding interpersonal skills working with customers, partners and teammates across all functions;
- The ability to take some occasional, required travel throughout North America (US and Canada);
and - Demonstrated ability to be effective while working remotely (from a home office and while traveling)
