What are LEDs, anyway?
An LED, or light-emitting diode, is a semiconductor light source with a microchip. When current flows through it, the small LEDs produce light. LEDs are much more efficient than incandescent light.
What are the benefits of LEDs?
Increase Efficiency.
LED lights use 30-75% less power than traditional light sources so you can decrease your utility costs significantly.
Reduce Maintenance.
LEDs have a long lifespan so you will need to spend less time and effort on maintenance, making them ideal for outdoor and commercial applications.
Change Fast.
You can dim LED lights and turn them off instantaneously to operate efficiently in all temperature extremes.
Stay Cool.
LED lights emit 20-90% less heat than incandescent, fluorescent and halogen bulbs partly due to an absence of IR radiation and modern heat-sink technology (a passive heat exchanger). This creates a cool, comfortable environment.
LED lights Improve Safety.
LEDs help your team stay cool, healthy and productive.
Get Rid of Glare.
Your entire team, customers, visitors, and more will love being in LED lighting. They produce a lot less glare than traditional light sources making it an effective solution for the office, store, roadways, parking lots, home use, and more
Be Healthier.
UV radiation and infrared light exposure over prolonged periods can be harmful to your health. LEDs emit much less than traditional light sources so it’s one less thing to worry about!
Stop Worrying About Replacement Bulbs.
Made with solid-state components that are resistant to shocks and vibrations, LEDs are far less prone to damage than other light sources. Plus, they last 8 times longer than compact fluorescent and 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs!
Choose the Colors You Want!
LED lights feature three standard color temperatures, or variations of white, red, green, blue, yellow, and RGB so the possibilities are endless!
Use On Projects of All Sizes.
LEDs come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are universally smaller than 1 square inch. This means that they can be used as electronic indicator lights all the way up to large, outdoor projects.
Help the Environment.
Do the lights you use now contain arsenic, lead, mercury and other harmful materials? LEDs do not contain any of these and are not hazardous or costly to dispose.
